Along the way, the route threads through fortified galleries, steep hillsides, and fragile geological zones, where active landslides and rockfall still challenge operations today. What makes this journey unique is not just the dramatic natural backdrop, but the symbolic power of the railway itself—a lifeline of cross-border connection that has survived war, neglect, and even closure threats.
